Okay, maybe not from home, per se. Geekosystem wrote a story on this, and the concept of using fishing line to create muscle feels not only awesome but appropriate given the quasi-fibrous nature of the stuff. The limits of my understanding of biology and fishing line aside, this should make certain advances in robotics cheaper if nothing else. Now I just need to get my hands on a “normal heat gun.”
